NWMI math courses and workshops for teachers

NWMI is affiliated with the Park City Mathematics Institute as an alumni outreach project. Major funding comes from the Washington Math Cases Project, a Math Science Partnership funded by the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. Some PCMI professional development programs are funded by an NSF grant for the PD3 Math Science Partnership with Seattle Public Schools.

"Thanks to NCTM Standards I understood the need for reform. I could talk the talk, but I did not have the teaching skills or methods to implement reform. Now my students enjoy and understand math. They can think mathematically. Often parents call me or the principal to comment on their kids newly found interest in math. I now teach other teachers how to use the methods and lessons I learned from NWMI." -- an NWMI alum
