UW Departments of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics and Statistics are to be awarded a second five-year VIGRE grant by the National Science Foundation in order to expand the work we have been doing under a current VIGRE grant. The grant will fund undergraduate research, graduate fellowships and postdoctoral fellowships to facilitate vertical integration, integration across departments, as well as increased cooperation with the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences (PIMS).
