Professor Emeritus Harry Corson died on December 20, 2015, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and studied physics as an undergraduate and Master's student at Vanderbilt University. Harry went on to earn his PhD in mathematics at Duke and taught briefly at Tulane before moving to Seattle to join the faculty at UW, where he remained until his retirement.
