Matt Kahle and Karl Schwede Receive Sloan Research Fellowships

Matt Kahle and Karl Schwede have each been awarded a Sloan Research Fellowship by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The two-year fellowship is awarded to researchers "in recognition of distinguished performance and unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field." Matt and Karl earned their PhDs with the UW Math Department in 2007 under Eric Babson and Christopher Hoffman, and in 2006 under Sándor Kovács, respectively.
