The Graduate School requires graduate students to maintain their student status during their program of study. Students who wish to take a quarter or more off should view the Graduate School's policy and procedure for leave.
Math Department Leave Policy
Leave requests are reviewed and approved at the discretion of the graduate program coordinator in consultation with the graduate program committee and/or the student's advisor. Before submitting a formal leave request, please speak with the graduate program coordinator.
