Will Johnson earns Putnam Fellowship

Will Johnson has earned a Putnam Fellowship after placing in the top five among 4,036 participants in the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition. No other UW student has achieved this honor since the competition's inception in 1938. Will is a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition to Will, four UW students, Nate Bottman, Steven Rutherford, Song Yisong, Keyun Tong, placed in the top 500 in the competition.
