Congratulations to Matthew Badger, who was recently awarded a prestigious NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship. Matthew earned his PhD at UW in 2011 under the supervision of Tatiana Toro and now studies geometric measure theory at Stony Brook University. He plans to use the fellowship to work with Chris Bishop and Raanan Schul at Stony Brook. His research will focus on questions at the interface of geometric measure theory and harmonic analysis.
