Jane Hung has received both the UW Junior Medal and the Dean's Medal in the Natural Sciences. The UW awards the Junior Medal to the senior having the highest scholastic standing for their first three years of coursework. (See this article for more information.) The College of Arts & Sciences presents the undergraduate Dean's Medal annually to an outstanding student in each of its four divisions. Jane is a double major in Math and Physics, and has conducted research in Chemistry since her freshman year. She plans to pursue a PhD in Chemical Engineering at MIT.
