Max Lieblich is one of over sixty mathematicians from around the world who have been named Fellows of the American Mathematical Society for 2018. He is cited "for contributions to algebraic geometry and for service to the mathematical community.” This is the sixth year of the program, which recognizes AMS members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics.
