The Simons Foundation has announced that Max Lieblich is one of the 2018 Simons Fellows in Mathematics. The fellowship program, which began in 2012, is designed to provide awardees with additional sabbatical funding that can "lead to increased creativity and productivity in research." Tatiana Toro was one of the inaugural fellows, followed in subsequent years by Hart Smith, Gunther Uhlmann, Sándor Kovács, Chris Hoffman, Julia Pevtsova, and now Max.
