Catalog Description:
Surveys development of mathematics from the earliest beginnings through the first half of the twentieth century. Focuses on the multicultural origins and diversity of contributors to mathematics, as well as fallacious theories about the development of mathematics, such as Eurocentrism and gender essentialism. Course overlaps with: STMATH 420. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in either MATH 126 or MATH 136.
