OFFERED VIA REMOTE LEARNING THIS COURSE IS IN AN ACTIVE/INQUIRY -BASED LEARNING FORMAT. WE WILL HAVE MEETINGS AT THE SCHEDULED CLASS TIMES WHICH WILL BE RECORDED, AND THE VIDEOS POSTED. THESE MEETINGS WILL INCLUDE OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH CLASSMATES IN SMALL GROUPS IN BREAKOUT ROOMS. HOWEVER, ATTENDANCE AT THESE MEETINGS IS NOT REQUIRED.
Catalog Description:
Concepts of geometry from multiple approaches; discovery, formal and informal reasoning, transformations, coordinates, exploration using computers and models. Topics selected from Euclidean plane and space geometry, spherical geometry, non-Euclidean geometries, fractal geometry. Prerequisite: a minimum grade of 2.0 in MATH 444. Offered: SpS.
