Eigenvalues are one of the most foundational concepts in Mathematics and are applicable across the board. In this talk we will build up from eigenvalues associated to endomorphisms of vector spaces all the way to the generalised notion of an eigenvalue to a twisted endomorphism of vector bundles, which is called a spectral curve.
