Abstract: Many rings of interest can be described as twisted tensor products of other rings, for example, quantum polynomial rings, skew group algebras, Ore extensions, and Drinfeld doubles. Other rings may be viewed as deformations of these. In this talk, we will introduce twisted tensor product algebras with examples, including examples of their deformations.
