Abstract: We'll engage in hands-on explorations of symmetry, bridging the mathematical worlds of geometry, topology, and number systems.  Symmetry involves shapes that remain the same even when moved or distorted in certain ways, such as by rotation, reflection, or scaling.  Combining these movements leads to newly imagined number systems.  And adding strings and their tanglings and untanglings creates yet new challenges and wilder number worlds.  Be prepared for string challenges, and also bring a limber arm for some twisting.
