Pre-Seminar: Intersection Theory in Tropical Geometry

In many ways, tropical geometry is the piecewise linear analogue of algebraic geometry. With this in mind, it is not surprise that tropical geometry has its own intersection theory. I will briefly recall the basic ideas of this theory and explain how it is related to the intersection theory of algebraic varieties.
