I will start by giving an overview of “odd analogues” of certain permutation statistics. I will then focus on the odd diagram of a permutation. In particular, we'll see that classes of permutations with the same odd diagram enjoy remarkable properties related to pattern avoidance and to Bruhat orders in symmetric groups. This is based on recent joint work with Francesco Brenti and Bridget Tenner.
