Abstract: This (purely expository) talk will provide an introduction to the Calderón problem, a classical inverse problem which asks if it is possible to determine the electrical conductivity of a medium by making voltage and current measurements on its boundary. We will start with a general introduction to inverse problems, then discuss a foundational uniqueness result, a stability estimate, and uniqueness in the case of partial data.
