In this talk we survey some known examples of ancient solutions of Ricci flow which
are not Ricci solitons. Ancient solutions appear naturally from singularity analysis
of Ricci flow, however not-many of those noncollapsing, noncompact and non-soliton ancient
solutions are known at this moment.
