Title: Singularities and the Behavior of the Deligne-Du Bois Complex
Abstract:
The Deligne-Du Bois complex of a scheme arose from attempts to find an object that would mimic the cohomological behavior of the de Rham complex for smooth manifolds. While powerful, its classical definition can be intimidating and its higher graded pieces are difficult to concretely describe, let alone work with. We will examine a simpler characterization of the complex and see how this can be used in the study of higher p-Du Bois singularities and the properties they admit.
