Abstract: Based on ongoing work with Aaron Bertram, in this talk we will explore properties of toric varieties constructed from root systems, their moduli space interpretations due to Losev-Manin and Batyrev-Blume, and decompositions of their bounded derived categories of coherent sheaves.
