MINUTES
The regular meeting of the faculty of the Department of Mathematics was held virtually via Zoom at 3:30pm PST, February 6, 2024. Max Lieblich, Chair, presided over the meeting. Rose Choi was the recording secretary.
Chair's Remarks
The chair announced that Giovanni Inchiostro will be joining the department next year as an Assistant Professor. Additional hire updates are to follow.
Announcements
Reem Sabha, the Assistant Director of Development for Natural Sciences, shared information on how their office can assist the department with fundraising efforts.
The Graduate Program committee proposed creating MATH 601 (Internship) to replace MATH 600B. A vote was held, passed, and approved.
New Business
The chair thanked the voting members for ranking the postdoc candidates and announced that offers will be going out shortly.
