The tmf resolution (aka the tmf-based Adams spectral sequence) is a powerful tool for investigating the 2-primary stable stems, especially the second chromatic layer. It is a natural evolution of Mahowald's "bo-resolutions". A key first step in bo-resolutions is the computation of the \(v_1\)-periodic Ext of \(bo^i\). In this talk I will discuss the analogous complete computation of the \(v_2\)-periodic Ext of \(tmf^i\). This is joint work with Prasit Bhattacharya and Dominic Culver.
There will be a pre-talk aimed at graduate students 2:30-3:15pm, also in PDL C-401.
